Blessed In The Turmoil

I’ve loved looking at the clouds for as far back as I can remember. When I was a little girl, barely 5 years old, I’d lay in the grass and stare into the clouds. I was mesmerized then and still am today as I watch them float across the sky. It was fun to seek and find the shapes of things like animals. It’s calming to my soul to get lost in a gaze aimed toward heaven. Today has been an exceptionally emotional day for me. Many people around me are hurting and I feel the weight of their burdens. I walked outside to find the rainbow that both my daughters had seen and shared with me over through text message. Neither of them were home, but God knew I needed the encouragement. I almost missed it because it wasn’t visible at first glance, but I stood their looking up, offering my burdens to God when I finally caught this little glimpse. Amid these tumultuous clouds is tucked away a sliver of a rainbow. If you look closely, you can see it nearly in the center of the photo. What a blessing and a reminder that among the turmoil, He is there!!!! We may not see Him, but it’s not because He isn’t there, we just have to shift our perspective. I’m so thankful for His promises.

“I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭9:13
